We’re working as one team to bring Australia’s broadband network to life. Reaching 8 million homes is our goal, and as we head towards this milestone we aim to support all the members of our team every step of the way. 

To support you and your organisation through the increased demand for copper, fibre and HFC Linesworkers, nbn is running a recruitment campaign from April through to June 2017. This campaign will aim to increase the amount of talent available to you and your subcontractors, through the nbn™ Athena CRM. We will still continue to accept Expressions of Interest after the campaign closes. 

The build peak is coming quickly, and the time to recruit workers is now. With this in mind we are doing our best to help you access talent quickly to scale your workforce. 

Reducing your business and recruitment risks

Feedback from multiple nbn approved Delivery Partners has indicated that they’re keen to minimise flight risk amongst new workers - they also want to ensure that the workers are motivated with a strong work ethic. We understand this and are keen to help you recruit individuals who understand the working conditions, including “early starts” and the importance of being self-motivated and showing up on time, increasing the likelihood of seeing the job through.

 

 

 

 


Increasing business relevance through targeting

The four major metro areas of VIC, NSW, WA and QLD have been identified as the primary areas with the highest need for workers – specifically Copper, fibre and HFC Linesworkers. Our research has shown us that the best people to target are workers who have more than three years in-field experience in technical roles from industries with a similar skillset to telecommunications. By specifically targeting only these workers, we know that they will not only be an asset to your organisation but also become productive with minimal time and training.


Breaking down the recruitment process barriers

The nbn™ Athena CRM is a cost-free purpose-built resource available to all nbn™ approved Delivery Partners, and their subcontractors who are contracted and connected with the construction, activation, operation or maintenance of the nbn™ network. The nbn™ Athena CRM hosts a pool of candidates who have registered an Expression of Interest to help build, operate and maintain the nbn™ network. The effort, time and cost of researching and running a recruitment campaign is completed by nbn, so that our Delivery Partners can find a viable workforce through an easy access platform. This platform will enable our partners to recruit willing and suitable workers within a few weeks, rather than a few months. All you have to do is request access to the nbn™ Athena CRM and submit an online Referral Request form.
