ISDN and Frame Relay services facing imminent disconnection

Act now and prevent a loss of service

The Special Services Disconnection Date for impacted ISDN, ISDN2 and Frame Relay services was 30 September 2019.# This means that if your services are impacted and you have not already begun the preparation to migrate these services, they may be at risk of disconnection.

The migration of Special Services to the nbn™ broadband access network can take longer than six months and is not an automatic process.

Reduce the risk of a break in service by taking immediate action to migrate your services today.

What you need to do:

Use the Special Services disconnection date tool to determine the expected disconnection date for your Special Services. Once the disconnection date is determined, follow the instructions provided.

If your disconnection date is imminent, you will need to contact your current service provider urgently to avoid a break in service. If your disconnection is approaching, we still recommend that you speak to your service provider to confirm the disconnection date and begin a timely preparation for migration to an nbn™ solution.

For a full list of Special Services that may be disconnected, please visit the Affected Special Services page^.

#Disconnection dates vary and not all Special Services will be disconnected. When a service will be disconnected, and the timing of disconnection, will depend on factors including the type of Special Service, when the nbn™ broadband access network is available, which nbn™ access technology is available and whether Telstra has issued a BAU product exit in respect of a Special Service. To find out if your services will be impacted, and applicable disconnection dates, contact your current service provider.

^Premises connected to or expected to be connected to FTTP, FTTN and FTTB access technologies, as covered by the Temporary Special Services (TSS) White Papers, and services in respect of which Telstra has issued a BAU product exit, are currently subject to Special Services disconnection.
